Moving closer to work

Yip the commute to Johannesburg got to me! It became too much. Constantly being stuck in traffic is no laughing matter. It drains all your spare energy. So I did what any sensible person would do. Move closer to work.
Luckily for me a friend (Lauren) bought a place in Buccleuch and she was looking for someone to rent the spare room.

While the moving solves a number of problems it also created a number of problems on its own, number one is that I am moving away from home, so suddenly I have to think about washing, food and all the other normal stuff that goes along with life, I suddenly had to start with my furniture collection. The bed being the first item on the list. Number two is that I will be away from my trusty ISDN line, so no more net access for me during the week, this is pretty harsh, I need to check my mail. Maybe I will get myself a wireless connection...

Another interesting development this week is that Udo wants to buy an Audi A4 2.4 (second hand). Which means that he is selling his Astra 2.0 CDX. I am very tempted to buy the car... Who wouldn't? It has all the nice things, 2,0l engine, central locking, abs, electric windows, power steering, air con, mags with 205 16" tyres, tinted windows, and all in all looks very nice... But that will also mean that I need to do something with my own car, which I love. She served me well the past 5-6 years and mechanically there is nothing wrong with her except that air con only works when you open the window... That will also mean I have to redo my insurance. Am I done looking like a student? Do I want to look like a yuppy? It is indeed a difficult choice.
